Royal Opening
The Prince of
Wales and the Duchess of
Cornwall are to visit Upton
Surgery to unveil two new
stained glass windows to
commemorate the official
opening of the surgery on
June 10th.
The senior GP partner, Dr
Susanna Everitt, her five GP
partners, the practice
manager and retired partner
Dr George Wilson, will
welcome their Royal
Highnesses to the surgery
before commencing on a tour
of the premises talking to
staff and patients.
Dr Susanna Everitt, said:
"It is an honour for staff
and patients to be able to
show HRH The Prince of Wales
and The Duchess of Cornwall
the extensive facilities at
our state of the art, 21
century premises. The
project incorporates a
holistic approach for
medical, dental and social
care for the town, we have
much more space for staff
and we are able to extend
our treatment areas for the
benefit of our 10,500
patients."

Stained
Glass Windows
The stained
glass window panels were
installed on January 22nd
and are gifted by the GP
Partners and patient
donations and are not part
of the building costs.
Upton Surgery
has a tradition going back
many years of being
supported by local artists
and the windows are an
extension of the arts and
health programme to improve
the environment for our
patients. We hope those
waiting in the surgery will
feel more relaxed and less
stressed as they enjoy the
beautiful natural rural view
framed by colourful scenes
of Upton upon Severn and the
surrounding countryside.
